This blog is a celebration.
I’ve been a geek my entire life. That’s what happens when you grow up in a remote area in the eighties with no one to hang out with but your own family until you get to school–you tend to grow up a little strange. In my case, it worked out, because English and reading teachers (that’s what I do in “the real world”) can get away with eccentricity.
I decided I wanted to talk about my life as a gamer and as a geek in general. This blog was inspired by a project for one of my grad classes: I wrote a personal narrative about being a gamer. My peer audience loved the piece, and I loved writing it so much that I decided to share it with the world, and continue my story as my “geeky life” continues.
